Repairing and replacing teeth — and fixing dentures that don’t work

Dr. DeVuyst taught restorative dentistry and prosthodontics at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry — the branch of dentistry that covers crowns, bridges, and dentures. It’s the core of what he does every day.

Crowns

A crown covers and protects a tooth that’s cracked, badly decayed, or has had a root canal. Tooth-colored, custom-made, and designed to look like the tooth it’s protecting.

Bridges

A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to the teeth on either side — or to implants. A fixed, non-removable option.

Implant-supported dentures

We don’t make conventional dentures. If you’ve been living with a denture that slips, clicks, rubs sore spots, or keeps you from eating what you want, we offer something better: a denture anchored to dental implants. It snaps into place, stays put, and lets you bite and chew with confidence — no adhesive, no worry about it coming loose in conversation.

If you already have a denture that isn’t working for you, Dr. DeVuyst can often convert it or make a new one that attaches to implants. If you’re facing the loss of most or all of your teeth, this is the path we recommend from the start.

Tired of a denture that doesn’t fit? Start with a free implant exam.

Dr. DeVuyst — a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists — will examine your mouth, review X-rays, and tell you whether implant-supported dentures are right for you. Then you’ll sit down with Jenny to go over the plan, cost, and financing.

Under sedation, when you need it

Multiple crowns, or crowns combined with extractions and implants, are common on Private Fridays. If you’re anxious, you don’t have to do this awake.
